Proximity to the sun doesn't directly account for much of the discrepancy but that doesn't mean it does not indirectly account for the discepancy. The extra heat from the proximity to the sun could have caused the run away greenhouse effect that you are talking about. No moon of Saturn has a climate similar to that of the earth. Tim
