When they called the last foul on baxter Maryland was down 1 I believe. It went from being a possible Maryland basket to Duke shooting FT's. That was the call of the game in my opinion, refs should have let players decide game at that point, was a very weak call. Not that duke would not have won, but by 11? I don't think so.

There were other calls, mostly involving battier. One I remember was battier reaching over the back to get a rebound that was called a jump ball, possesion arrow duke. It is questionable, but in my opinion no way would another player be allowed to reach of battiers back to get his hands on a rebound. Obviously battier is a very good player, but he gets way too much respect from refs and is a media darling. His flops/offensive foul calls he gets benefit for are weak, would be blocking calls on most mortals.

perhaps I am biased, sour grapes, you bet...but how is it that Duke, a team that shoots more 3's a game than 2's also manages to make more FT's than other teams even attempt? These two things don't seem to go hand in hand (perimeter team+extreme # of ft's). Another stat that stuck out was that duke was outshot 49% to 38% in all of the Duke/Maryland matchup's yet Duke somehow manages to get points in other ways all the while taking a huge amount of perimeter shots.
