That tie-up by Battier was 100% clean. It was a brilliant play. And, Battier doesn't flop any more. That garbage stopped during his sophomore season, and that is when he became a good basketball player. The biggest flop of the night was by a Maryland player, the one on Dunleavy on the fast break.

Duke has shot more free throws than their opponents since the start of the Coach K era. Getting to the free throw line is not a birthright. It must be earned. Referees are generally very consistent (not last night), and good players learn what you can and cannot do. Guys like Kurt Thomas and Scott Williams don't.
