Well, I seem to be caught in the middle between my leftist friends and my rightish friends. Such is the life of a centrist... :) I am for renewable energy sources and research, which have been cut out of Bush's budget. I am for economically viable alternative energy sources. Being a Californian, we are getting a close up lesson in short sighted energy policy. Being in the middle, I see the raging environmentalists yelling that we must go back to caves. I see the raging capitalists saying we must continue to rape the planet. I sit in the middle, with probably 90+% of the population, who are eager for real life solutions; economically feasible, yet environmentally responsible. I do not see why research into renewable energy sources has been cut. I do not see why responsible nuclear energy cannot be had. I do not see why the oil men block alternate energy sources, such as solar and wind power. It is crazy being held hostage while the two ends scream at each other like crazed ninjas. This is not a game, folks. Let's get behind the finding the solution, and quite back biting each other.
