Scumbria,

Your definition of "pollutant" seems to be linked only to acute short term impacts on people's health. Perhaps you need to broaden your definition a little bit?

Are we still talking about CO2? I don't know if there were any experiments, but suppose you lock in a person to a room with say 2 or even 5 times the CO2, reducing nitrogen, keeping the same percentage of O2. I doubt that it would be any long term negative effect.

Nuclear is very clean until you have to bury nuclear waste or have a melt down in a reactor. There are plenty of "wackos" in Northern Europe who really didn't like being contaminated by Chernobyl. My wife narrowly avoided the plume herself.

Air travel is safe until the plane crashes, and when it does, sometimes there is not a single survivor. In addition to it, there may be additional people killed on the ground.

But as a true environmentalist, you have dodged the issue. You could have some credibility if you suggested an alternative source of energy to replace burning carbon and its derivatives to CO2.
