To compare the United States nuclear power plants with Chernobyl is ridiculous. And no radiation was released at three mile island. United States nuclear submarines have been prowling the oceans since the early 60's and have not had one accident in which fissionable material escaped into the atmosphere. If we can train 20 year olds to safely operate nuclear power plants on a submarine taking 30 degree angles, while diving to 800 feet in every sea state imaginable. We can certainly design safe nuclear power plants on land. It looks to me like you really do not understand nuclear power Zen. And that's the real problem. We have a lot of people who have been fed rhetorical lines from Jane Fonda and company, who have no clue how nuclear power works, and especially how it can be made safe. In a bizarre way, Jane Fonda and her leftist followers have caused more environmental damage by spreading fear about nuclear power plants, then the largest coal digging operation in the world ever could. Californians are now the first to feel the pain.
