jibacoa: thanks for taking the time to post this. I guess one question it poses is how do you determine what time frames (especially long term timeframes) are appropriate to use in your analysis.

During the bubble, i felt comfortable using 10 and 20 day timeframes to determine short term trends, 50 day timeframes for medium term trends, and 200 day timeframes for "long term" trends. <g>

Now i wonder if the 200 day timeframe is appropriately "long" enough, if in fact some of these new econ stocks will require a decade or more to reattain the prices at their bubble peaks, as many are suggesting. I understand that the biotech sector may be operating under different assumptions for recovery, but as the next year or two unfolds, those assumptions could change. ;)

At any rate, i really don't have any answers to this question, so am interested in your opinions.
