IMO, France is the driver of this Euro Army. I believe it is a dumb idea. Compare, if you will, the "destabilizing" effect of a defensive missile shield with the effect of a brand new military alliance in Europe.

I see far more potential trouble in the latter.

I will restate that I mean no disrespect to anyone but war-wise, France has gone a long time without a "W". That's historical fact.
