I read a very interesting article about how Bush has killed the 2002 initiative to rebuild school infrastructure- why? To save the billion or so it would take for his tax cut. He went to visit and praise a school in DC- a school that won't get rebuilt (even though it is crumbling down) because he is taking the money away. Where are the schools that need this money? Take a guess. Not in the areas the tax cuts will be affecting.

Many Repubs of course say that rebuilding should be done by the states. But if the states had any money to do it, it would have been done. So the Feds under Bush would rather talk about education (lip service) and then stand on principle to make sure there is not money. Brilliant, isn't it.

The education president who wasn't. The Shrub has no clothes. Every little kid a a crumbling school will know that in a few years.
