That is actually an excellent point. Most of us probably believe we are smack dab at the median point in political outlook. We can't all be (that spot is reserved for ME), so do we normalize our view of the media for our position on the scale? I'm not trying to say that your relative position is right or wrong, but rather were it lies statistically versus the beliefs of the rest of the nation.

Tiger's point is that if more people are to the left (or right) of you, then naturally the news will seem more slanted in that direction. Presumably, most major news organizations are not boutiques, and attempt to capture the majority of the viewership by balancing their reporting around the median point. I'm not talking 'specialty' news organizations like FOX, which are going for the Rightwing 'niche'.

I think this is a valid argument.
