The statistic most important to the human scum who's aspiring to become a violent criminal is that he's more likely to get blown away by a well-armed, range-qualified public than he is by a bunch of soft-headed liberals. And the solution has a finality that any civilized society can be proud of: No government involvement (other than clean-up) and very little cost. In fact the cost-benefit is, over all, a huge positive. After, all, who knows how many times our Mr. Scum would have volunteered to vote for Al Gore...
