I don't disagree with you about the Sierra Club......your post sounds like Bill Whattenburg vintage.

All of our politicians in the Assembly voted for the deregulation bill. It was authored by a Republican in a Republican Assembly and signed by a Republican Gov but all the Democrats voted for it as well. I am told that the vote was unanimous so it appears that all the politicians got their pockets lined. Bill Whattenburg was in Sacramento when it was being debated and he claims he SAW the lobbyists from the energy companies in masse at the Capitol.
Our politicians were bought off by Bush's buddies and now we are being circled by the Houston Sharks.

If what the Republicans say is true and we have a shortage due to the lack of new power plants than why in hell did the fools sell the ones we already had? It makes no sense.
