I would guess we have 10-15% further to go down before things settle out. In both markets. Maybe 3-6 months. Trains like this tend to go on longer then people predict in both directions.

The telecoms are really changing the dynamics of valuations to me, which is having a rippling effect on other sectors. Remember 4 or 5 years ago, experts were predicting this massive internet clogging due to demand? Well, telecoms spent billions laying fiber and they continue to spend billions on the last mile. This has created an absolute glut of available supply.

Phone prices, net prices, and everyone involved in the backbone of the net are going to feel the financial competitive squeeze. The competition has never been fiercer. Cable, DSL, phone giants, and so many others want a slice of the pie. So, valuations still have a ways to go.

In other companies, things are starting to look cheap. So I guess it just depends...
