More thoughts on Dataplay.

a record label can fit multiple albums on one Dataplay disc at a high quality mp3 cpmression (like 192k). You buy the one album at the store and "Unlock" the other albums on that Dataplay disc Online

I'll play devils advocate here.....

First, the music industry will try and charge you the same price or even more than a CD for such an album. It's cheap to make Cd's as well but that doesn't stop them charging $18 for one!
Second, a way will be found to unlock those albums, at which point, after fruitlessly trying to ban the 6 lines of C code that does it, they'll stop putting out multiple albums. Its bad enough if people can copy 1 album on CD, if they can copy 10 on Dataplay....
Third, if dataplay are really $5 to $10 each, they are going to have to be much more expensive than CD's are they not? Both for blank Dataplays or for ones with media on(given you can buy blank CD's for 50c or less now?). How would they compete with CD?
