combjelly: No, I meant running the PowerPC native on an x86-64 chip. I do not think that Apple would risk losing control of their hardware market by running their software on an un-modified CPU. But who knows?

The only way to do that would be to use some sort of Transmeta-ish technology. Actually, TMTA could easily make a PowerPC version of their chip, but that would seem to be something of a step sideways...
