ALways amazes me to hear people talking about the environment without having done any research. Why the hell do you think that the Rain Forest was being decimated ? Beef for Big MAcs at a cheap price. It takes 1500 gallons of water to grow one lb of beef. We can grow 15 to 20 times as much protein per acre of land from vegetable sources. So that you can have meat three times a day many in the rest of the world will suffer and possibly starve you insensitive capitalist.
Finally and most importantly the commercial growing of beef is the number 2 source of pollution in the world. I suggest you read Diet For a Small Planet.
