Instead of being glad to buy CSCO at 10 3/8 in 2003, tying up your equity, you should have done the math on your investment. Absolutely dumb investment if you ask me because you've tied up your equity in what will be a VERY losing position. To say you'd be happy to get CSCO at 10 3/8 if your puts expire in 2003 is ludicrous. If CSCO goes to 6, your puts will probably cost at least 9 to buy back and your ROI will be over -100%.

That's a waste of capital if you ask me because the opportunity cost of what the capital could have given you in the meantime is a lot higher.

Now if you sell the calls naked as well I will change my otherwise low opinion of your investment skills.
