I heard that Seigfried and Roy used to have their act at the frontier when they first started. So it must be one of the oldest hotels on the strip. The last (and only) time I was in Vegas I stayed at the MGM Grand. That was a fantastic hotel. They have an amusement park in their backyard. One of the rides is called the Sky Screamer (or something like that). They strap you into a harness and then use a crane to lift you up to a few hundred feet above the ground. Then they drop you (oh yes, there's a cable attached to the center of an inverted "U" frame -- so you don't actually hit the ground). You do, however, fall straight down for a second before falling into a graceful arc. At your lowest point, you're no more than 10 feet above everyone's head. A terrific ride, but a little unnerving while they're winching you up before dropping you. I also recently read that the Venetian won the highest rating a hotel could get. I checked into staying there, but the prices were almost 8 times what Keith got us at the frontier. So it's the frontier for me. regards, mark.
