You were absolutely right.

I should've said "the other end"--darn, you caught me.

In fact, I was there only a couple of weeks ago, watching the kids sailing on C. and wondering out aloud what would happen if their sunfish capsized--I have been told that the river has no bottom and it just gets thicker.
