But the main argument against gun control is that it would be impossible to remove the guns from the reach of the criminal; they will break the law to get one. You can't have the argument go both ways.

If handguns were outlawed, then it would be harder to get them than it is today. Now, access to guns is fairly easy, thanks to the efforts of the NRA.

Unfortunately, I don't believe you think our discussions are fruitful or worthwhile. Too bad, I thought they were interesting. So be it.
