Probes: They are talking about 4.5 million infected with HIV. That's 10% of the population, overall. Most are 'affirmatives' between the ages of 15 and 35. That would mean an almost 50% infection rate in that age group. At this rate, in the next 30 years, there will be an absolute decimation of the population. Reason being -- no morals, no personal hygiene, no public health, anti-AIDS drugs not only will not work but, because of poor compliance, will create drug-resistant strains of the virus. Demographically, in a generation's time, I expect to see the population mix in SA looking very different from what it is today.
