A fed cut now would have a negative impact, as this would be viewed as a sign that things are worse than they seem.

Selling will continue to beget selling. There's a #@&*-load of margin calls that will have to be met this week.

....and look for all the talking heads to remind us that the market is still overvalued by historical measures.
