CR. Yes, the figure of 2-3 times effective energy utilization I quoted came from this board, and was the estimated OVERALL efficiency of energy conversion. Perhaps I should have made that clear. The point I was trying to make was that a gallon of methanol does not equal a gallon of gasoline. AJ
