Mary,

re: But sickos will have their day - it's only fair.

The "sickos" are not only having their day, they are having a freaking party. With the Nasdaq down almost 70% from it's (admittedly artificial) highs, and as CNBC reported, 44% of the Nasdaq 100 at a 52 week low today.

re: "It is pretty obvious. Technology is going to take us into the future."

It's also pretty obvious that until everyone thinks technology has absolutly no future, and that the tech stocks are going to zero, we won't have a real rebound in the Nasdaq.

An interesting (and probably valueless) exercise is to print a weekly chart of the Nasdaq comp, and hold it up to a light, upside down, facing away. The rally from October '99 is close to a mirror image of the decline from late August '00.

I would like to hear opinions. Could the Nasdaq decling 10% from here (1505); 20% (1338); 30% (1171); 40% (1003); 50% (836)?

I thought we hit bottom several times, and was wrong. I wonder what other folks think.

John
