Brushwud, re: "But suing a customer doesn't seem like a substitute for an earnings warning." Sometimes a companies actions can predict their results. If they fire a key executive from a division, often that division will prove to have bad performance in a subsequent report. It's a way of saying, "yes, we had a problem, but it's taken care of already". Softens the blow for the stockholders. Just speculating... John
