To all, any more thoughts on the China situation? This situation is obviously not good for tech stocks. I am wondering how bad this is likely to get, and FWIW, do not think the Bush administration is on the right track with regards to US-China relations. Hope I am wrong, but that is how I see it. I am thinking there is no direct risk to AMAT, but other tech companies do have direct exposure, for example manufacturing plants located there.

I don't want to start a political debate, but am concerned about how this effects AMAT and other semiconductor stocks.

One last thought, I think our planes of this type should be equiped to allow the crew to bail out, rather than to have to land on foreign soil in situations like this. Maybe that is a change that can be made going forward. I am just thinking out loud here.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

John
