I'm here in DC and our real estate market is going to go to hell soon. We have thrived on the Dulles tech corridor where some of the largest technology and Internet companies have their headquarters or offices. They sprouted up and became so successful so fast that the population exploded. Developers were and still are building neighborhoods as far as the eye can see. Once these companies start laying off people and others go bankrupt people will not be able to afford McMansion and many will look for work in less over populated areas.

10 years ago the suburbs in DC were densely populated about 20 miles out, now 40 miles out where there was nothing but farm land there are wall to wall 1/4 acres home lots and they continue to push it outwards. It's a matter of time before you have a lot of empty homes with lower tags trying to attract any available buyers.

Land still remains gold though as there is hardly any left!

Are you seeing similar problems in the Dallas area? I was down in Plano last year and could hardly believe my eyes when I saw how much they built it up.
