I am quite familiar with the E-P3E aircraft. It is an electronic listening A/C. We were spying on the Chinese, somehow the plane got damaged near their country not ours. We landed the plane, a military plane, SPYING on them on their soil. Seems we should let them take a few days and then everything back to the US. If one of their planes spying on us landed in the US they would never get it back and the crew would be held for a week or more. We ie Bush has blown it all out of porportion because he wants the Chinese to be the ENEMY so we can keep bullying and build a bigger larger more wasteful defense dept while the whole world goes down the chitter economically, makes sense doesn't it!
