6 days to go Tick Tock.
John,
What we are witnessing is an overreaction just as crazy as naz 5k. Bottom could be in or it could be a hundred points lower(maybe more). One morning some folks will wake up and it they will stop looking at this dreadful quarter. All of a sudden some ceo will have "visibility". Folks will buy. A recovery will be on the horizon maybe as late as 2002 but it wont matter. At that point folks will start valuating stocks as to their growth rates from the point of recovery. One time write offs will be ignored--in fact stocks will go up when they are announced.
An analyst that i follow said tonite regarding oracle---is there more liklelihood of 15 points down or up. Will oracle trade at -2 or at 28 in a year or two. What is the downside from here 5 points? What is the risk reward? Can play that game with many tech stocks. Be in the right ones and in two years you will be ahead of where we are last march. Maybe naz wont be at 5k, but in two years will amat and stocks like amat be back at their highs or above?. I vote yes! Mike
