If the company survives, the thing I recall about TiVo is that one can buy a "Life" membership rather inexpensively. I do not recall how much, just that it made sense to buy the life signup if you were going to have TiVo for a couple of years. It was offered to me with my DirecTV but I never bought it. I watch too much television as it is. More than you, I'm afraid.

In a recent issue of US News & World, the observation was made that TiVo can I.D. your habits. What you watch, when you watch it. The Privacy Issue. So if that is so, then perhaps it's more complex than you may have in mind.

Funny about those speakers, never thought I would do that but I have a pair of Harmon Kardons that I purchased last summer with the Dell. Good quality sound. My ears aren't as tuned in as they once were; we lived for the best speakers when I was younger. I think my wife still has a pair of Advents rotting away in the attic somewhere.

Happy birthday and many more. You don't look sixty by the way. My birthday isn't until November. No rush, I'll be fifty. Hopefully.

To be honest, I'd like to come down; it would be good to get away. However I'm swamped. Even disregarding the work that is piling up, I cannot leave J here alone now.

Thanks for the candles, They are sorely needed.
