Re: Laptop with wireless connection.

This is the path my research has taken me thus far,...think I'm headed down the garden path???

First the laptop,...all the computer and business folks I talk to say nothing beats a Toshiba for durability,...anyone who has used anything else on the road says the POS's freeze up on them.

Next,...how to link to the internet wirelessly. I'm a bell sympatico customer for wireless telephones and for the internet, so off to their site and I find wireless internet connections using cellphones as a connection link.

These phones allow such a hookup,...

I noticed the Qualcomm unit is free,...probably have to sign up for 5 years or something. Looks like Bell will give me a deal $50 for 1000 minute bundle,...boy what a nice bunch of thieves.

I'm tending towards the Celeron 650/
128MB/10GB**/
14.1"TFT/DVD/ Win98

Many of the Satellite series have Windows ME which doesn't seem to be compatible with the Bell phone link,...seems to only support Win95/98 and NT.

Long distance is free because bell gives me a 1-800 number to link to my Sympatico account,...wowser (gggggggggg).

Anyone got a better idea? Please share.
