that is a given. it's just that the for the most part colletive delusion which the rest of us who wish to 'get to what is real' must labor under in the meantime makes for a certain level of 'cognitive dissonance.'

data point: in the u.s., japanese 'collectors' buy up large quantities of electric and electronic musical gear, and then ship it back to japan where they sell it at a nice profit. i simply wonder why the manufacturers choose to keep the prices of such 'gear' either a) artificially high at home or b) artificially low in the u.s.
