So, to bring this back to AMZN...I believe that in the next few years, true broadband of 100Mbps will be available to the home. I believe that this will make electronic distribution of media products truly viable on a wide scale. This coupled with the changing demographics of the buying public (younger people entering the spending pool who are apt to use the internet for everyday transactions), and the cost savings that can be achieved by the electronic distribution of media products, will jeopardize the business model of retail distributors of physical media products. In other words, anybody who distributes, Books, CDs, DVDs, Software, Video games will have serious problems in the future. My question is, if my assumptions are true, is it possible that beyond the challenges that are currently identified for AMZN, that the further expansion of the internet can actually be the final nail in its coffin?
