that argument can be made, but in reality we're talking about buying power..whether it be only in one's attitude of their ability to do so or the actual buying itself. These "paper losses" are going to stem the flow of consumer spending across the board (already have). One thing is for sure: Long term buy and hold will always outperform trading in and out over a 10+ year period assuming the Dr Koops are minimal in the LT acct<g>
