First off, I think you're smart enough that you don't really buy into this "Pricewatch" pricing game.
As for RIMM's becoming competitive with DIMM's, during the CC Tate said the 256/288Mb RDRAM was the key to bringing the price of RDRAM to <20% adder to SDRAM. He predicted this would occur in 2H'01.
