Doug,

I'd be surprised if Athlon was maintaining an ASP of $125 personally.

In my conservative scenario for Q1 estimate I use $130, in the optimistic one, I use $150. My analysis of Q4 info (applying some arithmetics and some guessing) shows Athlon ASP of $150 in Q4. I think Q1 was marginally stronger than Q4, so I think $125 is a little too pessimistic.

I must have missed the buzzword somewhere. What's the AXIA stepping? I've heard a few people mention it. Is that just the 266mhz fsb chips, or is it a new stepping for the 200mhz fsb ones as well?

It is a new stepping, which I think improved the sweet spot by some 200 MHz. The sweet spot has moved from about 1050 to 1250 MHz.

It's the OEM and corporate markets we really need to crack.

I hope this really happens in Q2. I am getting tired of the baby steps. A low volume notebook and dual workstation would be enough to make me happy.

Joe
