<<Lemme see if I understand this. You have target prices. You have a target date. The actual prices now are in many cases less than the targets. So you are waiting until August to see if you can pay more? Ken, maybe I'm just not following the logic here...>>
... what attracted you to SUNW, A.L.? ... I am getting a little tired of the free investing lessons I have been providing here what for seems like years and years ... <VBG> and <tfic> ... tongue firmly in cheek ... ha ha ... and please, don't pay any attention to twister, our resident twitbrain ... he has been our cross to carry for years ... <g>
... now as to my target prices that arrived in less than two months instead of my estimate of five months ... time to buy them (is your implication, I guess) ... from my point of view, it is time to lower the price targets ... certainly not time to buy them ...
... example ... CSCO was about 35.00 in early February when I set a price target of 18.00 ... but whoops, today it closed at 13.69 ... an automatic buy, you might say ... but if CSCO goes to 8.00 or 10.00 or 6.00 or whatever, and then stays there for two years, was it a good buy at 13.69? ...
... I always try to buy stocks long , or for that matter, futures when they have proved to me that they are in an uptrend ... so, in my example, if CSCO goes from 13 to 9, stays there for eighteen months, and then establishes itself as in an uptrend, then I might consider buying it at, say, 15 ...
... not that CSCO is on my list anymore ... of those 13 stocks I picked last February, only SUNW, Analog Devices, Teradyne and Sycamore Networks are on my watch list ... and I am not about to buy any of them now or in the near future ... almost all of those stocks are in a severe downtrend ...
... many people are buying stocks now because they appear to be so cheap ... but are they really cheap? ... I do not think so ... especially when the Nasdaq Composite is headed for 1500 ... and unfortunately, probably much lower ...
