combjelly: It is unlikely that they re-designed their product just to save a few bucks. While it is possible to design a product that can use flash from different manufacturers, it takes extra board real estate and changes to the code. Additionally, AMD's NOR flash and Intel's NAND flash have so completely and utterly different characteristics that suggesting interchangeability is ludicrous. -fyo
