Joe,

"If P4 was not very attractive 2 weeks ago, it is much further behind today. I wonder if Intel will finally fess up in their CC and tells truth that P4 has been a huge disappointment."

LOL! Not at all likely when you consider today's X-Bit-Labs article "Pentium 4 expected to be #1 selling brand [5:55 am] Gavric"

See xbitlabs.com

"Intel finally revealed in one of its latest roadmap updates how forcefully it will promote Pentium 4 processors. The chart below depicts the share of various Intel’s CPUs in the total sales volume:

Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
Pentium 4 11% 20% 28% 36%
Tualatin 0% 0% 2% 7%
Pentium III 56% 47% 37% 24%
Celeron 33% 33% 33% 33%"

According to this Intel roadmap update the P4 should already now represent 11% of all Intel CPU sales (seems quite high, in my eyes). But they want to nearly double it to 20% this quarter. AMD's new price cuts should make this goal nearly unreachable.
