Are you sure that it's not a living wage, labor empowerment group? Wages before profits?

Interesting, as a kid I observed my dad working as a boss in the construction industry. A site agent to be particular. He would take over massive loss making sites, (power stations, sewer works, roads and tunnels) where the previous management were focused on saving pennies on stuff like raw materials and wastage. Things like the weather would always totally screw them. That and pissing off sub-contracters would mean the project would turn into a disaster. He would always start paying the biggest wages going and getting the best guys. Of course they always, and I mean ALWAYS, turned it around and worked a "miracle". It was usually just common sense, and treating other folks as important as if they were you.

If you want an example of what I am talking about ...The UK/France channel tunnel is an outstanding example of penny pinching idiots let loose and allowing massive losses to turn a good idea into a bad one.

Never mind the pennies, look after the pounds (or dollars if you like). Get the important chit done on time 100% or even ahead of schedule.

I've been reading all the literature coming though the post on the miners. It looks like a very similar situation to me.

So, I see your concern as a positive aspect if true.

pearly.
