DOW ~8300, NAZ ~1350, my SWAG on the worst it gets.

Let's say I accept your 1350 on the Naz (a number that will have BeBop eating 20 posts BTW) but lets say 7000 on the DOW just for grins.

Then what? Do we shoot back up or do we just enter a trading range of 1500-2500 for 5 more years. That is what I am suggesting. Look this from a historic perspective. Consult a DOW chart and look at how long we based between major bull markets. More like 10 years actually.

Finally, do not discount a complete financial meltdown. With zero savings rate, high unemployment, and a strong worldwide recession, 1000 and 5000 are quite possible IMHO.
