(NasdaqNM:AKAM - news), whose software helps speed Web content over the Internet, on Wednesday said it would report a narrower-than- expected loss but on lower expected revenues, and will cut 14 percent of its work force in an effort to reach break-even results earlier than expected. The Cambridge, Mass.-based company said it now expects first-quarter revenues to be in the range of $39 million to $41 million, compared with previous guidance of $45 million.
