actually, that's not true. the ships sunk at pearl were obsolete battleships, suited only for shore bombardment due to their low speeds.

the american carriers weren't at pearl. if those had been there, the war would have been longer, for there would have been no coral sea or midway.

i'm not talking up a conspiracy here, but i'm fairly certain roosevelt knew of the danger, for he had been warned by the then missionary to japan, e. stanley jones.

anyway, the ships lost at pearl would not have been a factor in coral sea or midway. the carriers were what mattered and again; they weren't there.
