Scum, If you consider the tech stocks to be the only, or even the major, factor in the stock market, then you will have a problem with your portfolio. When manufacturing goes down, employees have less money to spend, and back off from stocks. That is the little pebble that is started down the mountain, and grows into a giant snowball as it rolls downward. The pebble began to roll in March, 2000.
