Brian,

As my mother often advised, one attracts more flies with honey than a big stick. While I could never figure out why anyone would ever want to attract flies, getting tough with China,( or any other country, state or person for that matter) is only likely to make the country even more intransigent yielding the opposite of the desired result.

I'm nowhere near smart enough to be able to resolve this problem rapidly, but I guarantee that a big stick or aggressive posturing will only make the situation much worse than it is now, or than it needs to be.

IMHO, and no matter who wants to start a debate, this is my last OT comment on this subject.
