Barry,

What bothers me about AMD's self proclaimed K6 production was my own experience 3 weeks ago at one of our metro Detroit local computer show. All the vendors were advertising for K6 but had the word "K6" crossed out on their advertisement flyers. These mom-and-pop computer shops have not received a single functioning K6 until then. One vendor even told me that he received k6 several weeks ago and had to return them because of defects. I could not find a reason that he would lie to me. In fact, from the way he was talking about it, he seemed to have "spilled the beans". Why did these guys advertise for K6 but have not received any up until then? This week, I went back to the swap-meet and did find a few K6 floating around. I really question AMD's claim.

Ironically, one of the AMD investors even told me about AMD deceiving its investors in the past. Here is the post:

And why did DEC wait so long to acknowledge its use of K6? We all knew that months ago, did we not?

John.
