MM Taiwan is what this flap is all about under the surface. China has a sophisticated missile complex in place on the mainland not to attack their fellow Chinese on Taiwan but to prevent any outside interference when the they decide the time has come to reunite Taiwan China with mainland China. Incidents like this plane flap probably move the timetable forward a bit. We can not prevent the inevitable. Striving for economic interdependence is the best long term solution for our relationships with the massive populations (markets) of Asia. Jim
