I prefer the "Lord, make me chaste, but not yet" prayer (or similar... Augustine?). As to testing someone's faith, how could you do that? Have the head of their church offer them instant (but painless) death with the promise that their souls would be taken straight to heaven, with eternal happiness thereafter? That should sort out the true believers. <g> Well, people have been willing to die for some bizarre beliefs... and after all, even the above has been done...
