I asked this question on the gold thread, but received no answers up to this point ... Question to the thread: If I pay a US based service supplier in US Gold Eagle coins for services provided, would the amount be reported on his tax return in nominal dollars or actual value, assuming the Eagles are not sold for greenbacks before reporting period?
