Gardening is alot of work so if you don't like to grow things there's no reason to do it.

I enjoyed some gardening many years ago. For several years ago I grew gourds. Just thought they were cool. I've lived in an apartment for the last thirty some years. I've had lots of interesting house plants, but all I have left are a couple of Christmas cacti. I had a tree sized schefelera (sp?) that I had for all those thirty some years and that I left with a colleague when I retired. I'm a bit of a diletante, I'm afraid. Maybe I'll get interested in gardening again. Or not.

Used to be a serious cook, too. Now it's all restaurants and simple fare. I like my eggplant roasted. Just cut in half lengthwise, drizzle some olive oil, and put in a hot oven until I can smell it. About ten minutes I'd guess, but I never set a timer. I also eat quite a bit of eggplant parmesan and I sometimes nuke the eggplant and mix it with soba noodles and a sesame dressing. Simple stuff. I really like the taste of roasted eggplant as is, the Asian kind, that is.
